As Americans begin to return to the office full time, employees look for ways to make remote work a permanent lifestyle. The pandemic made people realize that work-life balance is vital to one’s mental health and being productive. Employees are now trading in 50-60 hour work weeks to include balance.

“The Great Resignation” is used to describe what is happening during this post-pandemic period. Many employers struggle to keep their workforce engaged and find it even more challenging to find talented staff who want to work in-office. As a result, this creates more opportunities for job seekers.

If you are looking for a change, there is no time like the present. A Number of employers have remote opportunities available. Here are my top 3 pointers for job seekers looking for remote work.

1-Be sure your resume and LinkedIn pages are updated. LinkedIn is becoming extremely popular for employers. Engage with companies of interest. The more present you are, the better your chances of landing an interview with a potential employer.

2-NETWORK, NETWORK, NETWORK! There are tons of social media pages and Facebook groups for you to meet like-minded individuals in your industry of interest.

3-If you are unsure of what you want to do, work with a Career Coach. Career Coaches can assist you in resume writing, mock interviews, and provide person and professional development.

Lastly, repeat after me: I WILL FIND A REMOTE POSITION DOING WHAT I LOVE!

Good luck!
